Dr. Donald Pardede

Dr. Donald Pardede, MPPM is a physician and health policy expert with extensive experience in public health financing, institutional reform, and health systems strengthening. He holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from the Sol Price School of Public Policy, University of Southern California. In 2024, he joined the Indonesia Health Development Center (IHDC) as a Member of the Board of Advisors.

He previously served in numerous roles at the Ministry of Health, most significantly as Special Advisor to the Minister of Health from 2016 until 2019. Prior to that, he was Head of the Center for Health Financing and Insurance (2014–2016) and Head of the Health Human Resources Training Center (2013–2014). He also served as Chair of the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria from 2016 to 2020.

Dr. Pardede currently serves on the Supervisory Board of the Indonesian Health Economics Association (Ikatan Ekonom Kesehatan Indonesia/IEKI) and the Stop TB Partnership Indonesia Foundation. He is also a surveyor for the Primary Health Care Accreditation Committee and continues to support national efforts to strengthen equitable and evidence-based health systems.
