IHDC Youth: Uniting Youth in Driving Health Development for Indonesia
About
IHDC Youth, a youth organisation under the Indonesia Health Development Center (IHDC), is led by Eriq Moeloek and powered by young people across disciplines who are united in their commitment to advancing Indonesia’s national development. It provides a platform for young people aged 17 to 33 to engage meaningfully in shaping the future of health in Indonesia.
Cross-Sectoral Approach to Health
The organization is grounded in the understanding that health is influenced by a wide range of sectors beyond the medical field. Policy, education, economics, technology, law, environment, communication, and culture all play a role in defining how health is experienced in everyday life. Addressing health challenges requires more than clinical expertise. It calls for collaboration, critical thinking, and contributions from multiple disciplines.
Programs and Activities
Through structured working groups, leadership classes, public campaigns, and innovation challenges, IHDC Youth enables its members to develop ideas, share perspectives, and take part in real-world problem solving. Members include students and early-career professionals from a variety of fields, united by a shared commitment to advancing health as a foundation for inclusive and sustainable national development.
Vision and Aspirations
IHDC Youth aspires to become a leading national platform for youth-driven health development. By fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and cross-sector involvement, it aims to prepare the next generation to take part in shaping a healthier and more inclusive Indonesia.
